What does he need to know about a 2005 Volvo V70?

Automatic (he was shot in the knee about 20+ years ago), probably high miles (because he just wants a car to replace the patrol vehicle he used to have).

Pics from him attached. Maybe not all that helpful haha.

It doesn’t have the Opel transmission, so it should be fine.

My dad had a 2001 V70 T5. He loved it except for the reliability. If it wasn’t constantly broken, it probably would’ve been his favorite car he owned. However, it was constantly broken, so he traded it for an Accord. Maybe (hopefully) later model years are better?

Should be the good transmission so that’s a plus.

Make sure timing belt and water pump were done. Those kill these cars.

Idk. Our family has had all 3 generations of V70, and all were awesome accept for that one. That one was a lil bit of a problem child. In fact, we still have a first gen and a third gen
